Utterly Buttermere swim 2013The 2nd Utterly Buttermere Swim is on Saturday 8th June 2013
in this beautiful corner of the Lake District famous for its tranquillity and dramatic scenery.

This exciting outdoor swimming challenge is organised by Head to the Hills in association with the open water swimming club & the National Trust.

As the organisers enthusiastically claim Buttermere is 'The most utterly stunning location for a swim in the country. An outdoor swimmers paradise, crystal clear water & unparalleled views, a dream and a challenge fulfilled'.


Its a dream that upto 300 people will be fulfilling on Saturday 8th June 2013, as they take to the clear waters to swim 1.5k, 5k or 10k around the Lake circumference.

The quirky Utterly Buttermere name was conjured up by Andrea Tucker from Head to the Hills, Ambleside, its the longest open water swim sportive of its kind and is destined to become an iconic feature on the open water swimming calendar.

Spectators can join in the event atmosphere and soak up the scenery of this weekends event by taking advantage of circular path around the lake which will provide ample viewing and cheering opportunities.
