swimming in windermere

Windermere is England’s largest lake and also one of its busiest. It is a challenge to keep the water healthy and clean.

So what can you do to help keep Windermere a healthy natural resource to be enjoyed?

Find out about the environmental issues the lake is facing and what is being done to help by coming along to a free talk on Friday evening (14th).

Whether you’re a swimmer, paddler, sailor or simply like to enjoy the views from the lake shore with dry feet, you are invited to this short presentation by the local environmental project, Windermere Reflections.

It’s at Ambleside Youth hostel, Waterhead, Friday 8pm. There’s no need to book, and the YHA bar is open as usual, so you can take your drink in with you.
